Nature of ServicesA doctor–patient relationship is established only when a consultation has formally commenced following payment confirmation and direct engagement with a licensed medical practitioner.Amber Health provides:- Remote medical consultations via chat or approved communication platforms to clients legally residing in Nigeria.
- Medical advice based on information provided by the patient.
- Review of laboratory results where submitted.
- General treatment guidance.Amber Health does not:- Provide emergency medical services.
- Replace physical examination where clinically necessary.
- Guarantee prescriptions in every case.
- Provide hospital admission or surgical services.Amber Health is not liable for adverse outcomes resulting from a patient’s decision to delay or avoid emergency in-person care.3a. Telemedicine ConsentBy using our service, you acknowledge and agree that:- Medical consultations are conducted remotely.
- Diagnosis is based solely on information you provide.
- There are limitations inherent in telemedicine.
- In-person consultation may be required.You consent to receiving healthcare services electronically.3b. In-Person ConsentAmber Health may provide scheduled in-person clinical services to eligible patients. These services may include administration of intravenous (IV) medications, intramuscular injections, and other minor medical procedures as determined appropriate by the attending licensed practitioner.In-person services are provided in a non-hospital setting and do not replace comprehensive hospital-based care. Patients acknowledge that certain medical conditions may require referral to a hospital facility.Patients are responsible for ensuring that the treatment environment is safe and suitable for the provision of in-person services.Where intravenous or injectable medications are required, prescriptions shall be issued following clinical assessment. Medications are procured from licensed third-party pharmacies and administered by a duly licensed medical practitioner. Amber Health does not manufacture, compound, or independently dispense pharmaceutical products.Amber Health is not responsible for the quality, manufacturing, or regulatory compliance of medications supplied by third-party licensed pharmacies, provided such pharmacies are duly authorised under Nigerian law.Patients acknowledge that intravenous therapy and injectable treatments carry inherent medical risks including but not limited to allergic reactions, infection, bleeding, swelling, fainting, or other unforeseen complications.By consenting to in-person treatment, the patient accepts these inherent risks.Amber Health shall not be liable for complications arising from undisclosed medical conditions, allergies, or failure to disclose complete medical history prior to treatment.In the event of a medical complication during in-person treatment, Amber Health reserves the right to immediately refer or transfer the patient to the nearest hospital facility.4. EligibilityYou must be at least 18 years old to use this service, or have consent from a parent/guardian if under 18.You agree to provide accurate and complete medical information.Providing false or misleading information may compromise your care and releases Amber Health from liability resulting from such inaccuracies.5. Prescription PolicyPrescriptions, where issued, are provided at the discretion of the consulting doctor in accordance with Nigerian medical regulations.Amber Health does not dispense medications directly unless otherwise stated and compliant with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria regulations.6. Payment & Refund PolicyPayments must be made in advance of consultation.Amber Health reserves the right to refuse service if:- The case requires emergency or in-person care deemed unsuitable for service delivery.
- The consultation is deemed clinically unsafe.
- There is abusive or inappropriate conduct.Where service is declined prior to consultation, payments will be refunded within 24 hours.Once a consultation has been completed, payments are non-refundable.7. Limitation of LiabilityAmber Health provides medical advice in good faith and in accordance with professional standards.We are not liable for:- Outcomes resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by patients.
- Failure of patients to follow medical advice.
- Delays caused by technical or connectivity issues.
- Emergency complications requiring physical intervention.8.
